Catalyst 1, 2014. Collaborative artwork by Sasha Bowles, Rosalind Davis, Evy Jokhova, Justin Hibbs & Annabel Tilley

Catalyst is a collaborative artwork.
Part parlour-game, part contest, clash and collision.
A group of 6 artists began the process to collectively respond & collaborate with no rules except each consecutive artist had a month to play.
As the piece passed from hand to hand a chain of interventions took place. So that the resulting artwork was appended, dismantled, embellished, augmented, obliterated and overwritten. What was conceived as a simple idea expanded and contracted as the 'game' progressed. All the while the clock was ticking …...

Also on show a selection of individual artworks by Catalyst Artists

Lion & Lamb at Sluice Art Fair - Autumn 2013

Annabel Tilley was delighted to show this replica £20 note (above) with Lion & Lamb at the much talked about Sluice Art Fair during Frieze Week in October. True to her current practice her piece uses imagery referencing 18th century art history and British painting from George Stubbs and his Rubbing-Down House at Newmarket (c. 1765); wigs from Gainsborough Mrs Heberden (1774); to the swooping birds of Stalker & Parker's Treatise of Japanning & Varnishing (1688)  as well as natural history with the central image of a Buddleia globosa introduced to Britain from Chile 1774.
